Using the yarn my daughter spun...
हरेक तस्वीर एक कहानी कहती है...इसमे यादगारें बसीं हुई हैं....मेरी परदादीके satinke लेहेंगेका टुकडा आकाश बना है.....अहमदनगर के गांधी कहलानेवाले स्वर्गीय रावसाहेब पटवर्धन मेरे लोकल गार्डियन हुआ करते थे...उनकी पत्नीने मुझे खादी सिल्ककी एक shawl दी थी....मूड आया तो मेरे पास अन्य कोई पर्याय नही था..वो शाल कट गयी...और ज़मीनका हिस्सा बन गयी...स्वर्गीय रमेशचंद्र कानडे हमारे मुम्बईमे पड़ोसी थे...उनका एक पुराना कुर्ता,उनकी पत्नीने मुझे दे दिया..उसमेसे पेडके तने और डालें बनी.......एक छोटासा तन्छोईका टुकडा...और बाकी बिटियाने बनाये और रंगे सूतके तुकडे...और मेरी कढाई....कहीँ, कहीँ, लकडी के बीड्स भी टांके गए हैं...
I made the 2 pieces above using the yarns that my daughter spun for me on her spinning wheel in the United States (close ups are larger). She intends to get me more the next time she returns. My daughter weaves & spins.
चंद शब्दोंमे बयान करुँ "तो कहीँ का दीपक कहीँ की बाती...!" अक्सर मेरा परिधान भी ऐसाही होता है...!वैसे मेरी बेटी MArch है.....लेकिन स्पिनिंग और weaving सीखके ५ माहके अन्दर उसने अमरीकामे ७ अवार्ड्स जीत लिए...उनमेसे ३ प्रथम....और अब सेल्फ taught फोटोग्राफर बन गयी है....

embroideries which got sold over a period of 25 years.
